The Department of Development Services implemented a reorganization of the department on Friday morning, which resulted in the elimination of five budgeted positions.

Vince Cautero, Development Services Director, completed his evaluation of the department and decided to reorganize responsibilities and assignments to improve efficiency and reduce costs.  The positions identified in the reorganization include Planning Division Director, Flood Management Coordinator, Senior Planner, Senior Secretary and GIS / CADD Technician.

Expected long term savings are projected to be approximately $300, 000 annually.

The employees affected will receive assistance by the Human Resources Department in finding alternative employment.
